Went out the night before and spent way too much money. With 3 hours sleep, me and Craig drove the 3 hours to Dunedin for a surf. The surf was really good to begin with. My performance wasnt though and it felt as though my progress had gone back quite a few steps. Craig did well and had some sweet rides although he went in after an hour or so as he was too knackered after having no sleep the night before sorting things out with his bird.
I came in for a bit of a break and then went out again and caught a few good waves except the wind had picked up a bit so the surf went a bit messy. There was also a real strong rip with weird undercurrents going all kinds of directions so eventually called it a day after a while. Conditions were good but my performance wasn't.
